YaYa's Story

YaYa (noun)

1. A security blanket or a blanket given to a child by a loved one.

2. A source of comfort.

- SYNONYMS : WOOBIE, BINKEY, BLANKEY

This is Captain YaYa, a series of books created to show children that it’s ok to be afraid, and better yet, they are strong enough to overcome their fears on their own. Every child, without the need of superpowers or a strange cosmic occurrence, is the hero. The original books were written for my children, with them as the heroes of the story. They face off against the personifications of regular childhood fears – the dark, the closet, going to the doctor, etc.

The concept is to empower your children to be more confident. Oh yeah, it is also fun entertainment filled with new characters, new adventures, and great art. Every story adds a little humor and a few “Morals of the Story” at the end. This was my way to teach lessons to my children through stories that they would read over and over again. I hope now, to share these stories with your family. I hope you enjoy taking this journey with us...Welcome
